Warning: Failure to follow these steps may void the manufacturers warranty.

The installer may be required to submit evidence of compliance to the requirements herein to the manufacturer under a warranty claim.

• Refer to the manufacturers service information for full instructions.
• Refer to engine compartment decal for proper lubricant, refrigerant and capacities.
• Replacement of “critical components” that may be damaged or contaminated due to a compressor failure.

Only R12 or R134A refrigerants and compatible lubricants (oil) can be used inthe A/C compressor.

Recommended “critical components” to be replaced when installing a new compressor.

• Accumulator or Receiver/Drier replacement.
• Expansion valve/device replacement.
• Hose (with orifice tube or muffler) assembly replacement.
• Condenser replacement for (a) applications after 1994 and (b) R12 to R134A retrofits.
• System & component flush with approved method(s) and flush agent(s) specified.
• Approved refrigerant and lubricant for the application specified.
